Stroganoff is already a fairly easy dish to make but with this slow cooker recipe it is absolutely the easiest. Plus it is tastier than the Stroganoff recipes I have used in the past. This is definitely being added to the rotation.
Ingredients:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
16 oz sour cream
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix (I use Trader Joe’s brand, but Lipton works too)
1 lb. of frozen boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into strips or steak
1-2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 package egg noodles, prepared
green onions for garnish
fresh cracked pepper for garnish
Directions:
- Combine in the slow cooker; the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and Lipton onion soup mix. Mix until fully incorporated. Add the mushroom and chicken and stir until fully coated.
- Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours. Stirring occasionally.
- Combine noodles and slow cooker mix in bowl. Serve warm with green onion and cracked pepper on top. Enjoy!
